Inclusive and Sustainable Mobility
At Odisee, we help all students prepare for an international society.
You can gain international experience in different ways: from internationalisation@home and virtual exchanges to spending one week or a full academic year abroad.
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to take part. That is why we make our selection procedures, including those for grants, as fair and accessible as possible. We take possible barriers into account and look for solutions wherever we can.
Discover the additional features and support
Want to travel more sustainably to your destination? Great idea!
Travelling by bus, train, or a certified car-sharing service is better for the climate than flying.
If you choose sustainable transport for both your trip to and from your destination, you can receive an extra bonus of up to 108 euros through Erasmus+.
Important: Be sure to indicate this before you sign the Grant Agreement.
If you do not travel sustainably after all, you will no longer receive the bonus.
Students with barriers
At Odisee, we support students who face barriers to participating in exchange programmes. We believe it is important that everyone has the opportunity to gain international experience.
Through Erasmus+, we aim to offer equal opportunities to all students, including students with fewer opportunities.
This includes, for example, students who:
- receive a study grant;
- are near-grant students;
- combine their studies with work through a work-study programme;
- have a certificate from the Flemish Agency for Persons with Disabilities (VAPH).
Do you belong to one of these groups? If so, you can receive an additional monthly allowance on top of your Erasmus+ grant:
- €250 per month for students with fewer opportunities;
- €200 per month for students receiving a generic grant.
Additional Customized Support
Do you have specific support needs and are your additional costs not fully covered? You can apply for extra funding through Inclusion Support. This support is tailored to your needs and based on your actual costs.
For example, you can apply for support for:
- adapted accommodation;
- assistance with travel;
- medical support;
- adapted learning materials;
- a preparatory visit or an accompanying person.
- ...
The partner institution you will go to, may also offer additional support.
On the website below, you can find information about the support and facilities available for students with specific needs at each institution.
