ABC BlendEd Africa
ABC BlendEd is an EU-funded initiative designed to improve employability, innovation, and socioeconomic prosperity in Africa through challenging blended learning. The project adapts a successful European blended mobility course to the realities of African universities, particularly in the field of agriculture, and creates a global learning community that connects students, faculty, researchers, and industry professionals.
ABC BlendEd – African BlendEd Course
Together with a number of European universities, our university of applied sciences, Odisee, has been developing such a course since 2008, called BlendEd.
Through the ABC BlendEd project, African universities in the agricultural sector will now also be able to set up and organize such courses and further expand the model to other regions in Africa.
ABC BlendEd Mission
🔹 Provide students with practical experience through real-world industrial projects
🔹 Promote international cooperation between Europe and Africa
🔹 Develop innovative, interdisciplinary solutions for the agricultural sector
🔹 Create a sustainable BlendEd Community of Practice to mainstream this learning approach worldwide
ABC BlendEd Learning
Students from six universities in Nigeria, Mozambique, and Uganda collaborate on projects proposed by companies, thereby developing technical skills, teamwork experience, and career-oriented competencies. Participants receive ECTS credits and a certificate upon completion.
