Floralie's Lab
The nature centre Floralie's Lab aims to teach children more about nature and the environment, and to give them playful tools that help them care for their surroundings at their own level, make sustainable choices, and take actions that benefit the environment.
Floralie's Lab welcomes more than 2,000 primary school children from Aalst and the surrounding area every year. In the natural environment of Campus Dirk Martens, staff and students organise and guide nature excursions in which children, through exploratory and investigative activities, develop basic insights into the diversity of nature.
For classes that want to meet the professor and discover the forest and wild meadow on our campus through playful activities and assignments. For teachers, there is inspiring material to support work on nature and nature education in the classroom and at school.
