GRASP

GRASP aims to help elementary school students strengthen their language comprehension and critical thinking skills. This initiative was prompted by a decline in reading proficiency and growing disparities in language performance across Europe, which have negative consequences for democratic literacy and citizenship. The project supports teachers in improving reading and listening comprehension by linking these skills to critical thinking. This is achieved through philosophical discussion methods in which students reflect and reason together. In this way, GRASP lays the foundation for active and critical citizens from an early age.
