There is an urgent need for standardisation in the light electric vehicle sector. Good standards help manufacturers bring safe products to market and stimulate innovation. This project shares technical expertise to contribute to the development of standards for various types of light electric vehicles — such as electric scooters, e-bikes, cargo bikes, and series hybrids — within standardisation committees of CEN, ISO, and IEC. As part of this project, the secretariat role of IEC TC125 is also undertaken.
