VLIRUOS Grant
VLIRUOS awards travel grants each year to higher education students. These grants are available for students who complete a development-focused traineeship outside Europe. The grants are part of the VLIRUOS Global Minds programme, which aims to make sustainable development an integral part of higher education in Flanders.
As an Odisee student, you can apply for a grant if your traineeship takes place in a country that participates in the Global Minds programme. The grant provides financial support for your stay abroad.
The traineeship must be part of your study programme and earn academic credits for it. Odisee selects the students and manages the available grants.
In which countries can you do a traineeship through Global Minds?
Odisee works with several partner institutions in countries that participate in the Global Minds programme.
With the VLIRUOS grant, you can do a traineeship in the following countries:
Benin, Bolivia, Cambodia, Ecuador, the Philippines, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Nicaragua, Uganda, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Suriname, Tanzania, Vietnam, Zambia, and South Africa.
