Strong networks start within the organization. This project identifies the internal conditions that healthcare and social services organizations need to collaborate effectively over the long term. Together with practitioners in the field, we are developing and testing a practical guide for a strong collaboration policy.

We study administrative processes in Public Social Welfare Centres (OCMWs). We examine how these processes affect the daily lives of beneficiaries and social workers. Our goal is to make OCMWs more administratively accessible, thereby improving access to social protection. This allows space to be reclaimed for the essence of social work: doing justice to every person’s human dignity. 

With this project, we set out the outlines for a learning module or practical guide that helps (future) healthcare professionals with a migration background deal with the challenges of discrimination in the workplace.

In this action research, we identify political strategies at various social work practices for people without legal residence and support four practices in designing concrete actions. We evaluate the impact of these concrete political interventions at various policy levels.

We measure how employees experience inclusion and a sense of belonging, and which organizational factors shape that experience. With our self-developed measurement instrument, we identify what works and where improvement is needed.

What do local governments need for a strong local family policy? We asked municipalities, on behalf of the VVSG.

We ask policymakers, researchers, and social practitioners to adopt a “family reflex”—but what does that actually mean in practice? Who is responsible for applying this reflex, or who should be? We’re exploring these questions from the ground up, based on roundtable discussions with stakeholders across various domains.

In this project, we provide professionals with knowledge and practical tools to navigate role shifts and changing family dynamics in refugee families.

The Belgian migration policy turns thousands of people in Brussels into 'precarious citizens' and pushes the Brussels government and service providers into a situation of permanent crisis management. ATLAS develops scenarios that ensure the right to shelter and services for all.
