During your study or traineeship related activities you are covered, as a registered student, with the civil liability policy and with the collective insurance for accidents.

We strongly recommend EEA students to take a civil liability insurance that covers damage to others in their private life. Non-EEA students are obliged to take a civil liability insurance that covers damage to others in their private life during their stay in Belgium.  Students who are non-EEA nationals are automatically registered with the insurance policy for third party liability via Odisee (KULeuven Association) for a small cost. You are not obliged to subscribe to the policy of KULeuven Association. If you have coverage through another insurance company, we will accept this coverage as well.
