Work route / working status
Do you combine your studies with a job? Then you can get a number of facilities as a working student.
Work routes are organized with the necessary flexibility to make studying and working possible. If you choose a programme for which there is no special route for working students, you can apply for the working status to make working and studying feasible for you.
Explore both options on this page so that combining work and study can go smoothly.
WORK ROUTE
What?
Odisee offers for some programmes a specific route for working students. In these work routes, structural measures are provided to enable the combination work-study and/or special educational and examination facilities are agreed upon with the learning path coach.
WORKING STATUS
What?
In programmes for which no work route is provided, a student who meets a number of conditions may be granted the working status. The working status allows the student to apply for a number of educational and examination facilities to make working and studying feasible.
For whom?
For anyone with a part-time or full-time job, or job seeker, who wants to obtain an (additional) graduate or bachelor's degree.
For whom?
You are eligible for a working status if you:
- are enrolled with a degree contract for at least 27 credits (unless you have fewer than 27 credits remaining to complete your degree)
and
- You work at least 80 hours per month (or, if applicable, at least half of what is considered full-time employment in your field of work) to support yourself.
ATTENTION: Not applicable for students enrolled in a work route.
An overview of the programmes we offer as a work pathway can be found to the right at Work route.
Procedure
If you (re)enroll in one of the programmes listed below, you will need to indicate in which (employment) situation you are in while completing the (re)enrollment application.
To students who re-enroll late (after October 10) for, or students who reorient during the academic year to, one of the following programmes we ask the statement for students in a work-route pogramme (in Dutch) to download, complete and submit to the Office of Student Records at [email protected].
Even if you are not employed or not entitled to benefits, you must complete this statement!
Submitting this statement is a prerequisite for being administratively in order.
