With our research, we want to make a positive contribution to the food of the future. After all, producing sufficient and healthy food in a sustainable way for an ever-growing world population is the challenge of the future.

In co-creation with our various research partners, we therefore focus on sustainable and healthy food through our research projects.

In the Nutrition and Dietetics programme you become an accomplished dietician and nutrition expert. You will learn everything about healthy and balanced food for different demographic groups of today's society. The acquired knowledge can be used to provide nutritional advice adapted to the client and to explain the relationship between diet and health, based on the Belgian food dietary guidelines.

With this degree you can start your career as a clinical or administrative dietician (in different catering environments) or as a nutritional expert in a preventive healthcare setting. Another future possibility is working in the food industry as a quality controller. In short: you are of indispensable value in hospitals and nursing homes, but most of all you are indispensable for your clients!

The Erasmus Study of Occupational Therapy offers traineeships in two different domains, combined with several optional courses. Practical skills will be trained in clinical departments, applying the theoretical knowledge from an evidence-based framework. You can also train your research skills, language skills, or technological knowledge by choosing one of the study courses.

For many of you, exams will start soon. And who says exams, automatically says block! Not a very pleasant period, if you know what fun things you could be doing in the meantime. But we will not leave you to your fate at Odisee and will support you through thick and thin! 💪

To ease your suffering a little, Odibilly, the mascot of project Odibuddy, is coming to give you a helping hand. How? Well, at the beginning of June Odibilly will come to your campus and he will bring something to help you through the block (maybe drag you?)!

The academic year is already 6 weeks old and our first year students and all new students are starting to find their way in our college.

Within the Odibuddy project team, we noticed that many new students already had practical and education-related questions before the start of the academic year, such as "where do I have to be on September 20th?", "where can I find all the information about my program?" or "how do the different platforms work?".

To answer these questions of beginning students, more than 110 senior students were deployed to show them the way and provide a point of contact.

It is also important to know that this buddy work is closely linked to one of the recommendations that VVS, the Flemish Association of Students, is formulating to increase the general well-being of students within higher education institutions.

Mid-October we conducted a first survey among our Odibuddy's and students who rely on such an Odibuddy. And a lot of great results came out of that.
