International Course: Faculty of Education

Additional course available for students within a teacher training programme.

This unique inter-institutional English-taught course is designed for third-year bachelor and master students in education programs within the KU Leuven Association, as well as incoming Erasmus students and is fully described here: 

Course description (3 ECTS)

This course aims to foster internationalisation@home by bringing together Odisee students with diverse student groups to explore contemporary, socially relevant educational themes such as transformative education, global citizenship, AR/VR in education, and hybrid learning. Students refine their teaching skills and intercultural awareness while enhancing English language proficiency.

Structured over six Fridays, the program combines 18 contact hours of interactive lessons with 18 contact hours of culturally immersive activities held on different campuses across Belgian cities including Bruges, Mechelen, Ghent, Leuven, Antwerp, and Brussels. The collaborative setup involves teachers from all participating institutions, promoting rich peer learning and professional exchange.

Students complete group presentations on innovative didactic approaches, gaining hands-on international teaching experience. This course is an ideal blend of academic content and practical cultural engagement, preparing future educators for global and diverse classrooms.      

The Aquaculture Education & Research Facility (Aqua-ERF) is a practice-oriented research center that optimizes the production of aquatic organisms through a systems approach.

Are you active in the cultural sector as a musician, actor, performer, or similar? And are you putting a lot of effort into launching or further developing your career? If so, we’ll work with you to see how we can support you. This can be done by providing information relevant to you, offering a customized program, arranging special educational accommodations, and/or referring you to support outside of Odisee. 

Depending on whether you meet the requirements, you may be granted A status, B status, or C status. Each of these statuses entitles you to certain educational and/or exam accommodations. Based on the application you submit, the review committee will grant one of these three statuses or deny the application.

Students must submit their application via the student status application system, no later than the deadline for submitting the ISP (before 15 october if you want to start in the first semester, before 25 february if you want to start in the second semester) or as soon as possible after the circumstances have arisen.

With this status, you can apply for accommodations and/or obtain a certificate for your scholarship from the Flemish government.
